Verizon 730 12th street Cooling Tower Replacement
Project was at a Verizon Communication major telephone switching facility in downtown Washington D.C. Project consisted on replacement of two 500-ton induced draft cooling towers. The design included a complete phasing plan to assure maintaining N+1 redundancy of service throughout the entire construction process. DesignTech worked as the mechanical and electrical consultant as well as the prime consultant for the design team which included an architect and a structural engineer. The scope included reworking of the structural steel dunnage for the towers as well as modification to the service platforms. The project was completed on time and on budget.
