DesignTech implemented the replacement of the existing UPS and stand-by generators to improve operating efficiency and system reliability.

Dual bus power distribution using static transfer switches for redundancy
Replaced inefficient, over-sized motor generator UPS with redundant static unity
Replaced diesel generators with natural gas unit, appropriately sized for the load

DesignTech acted as the prime design consultant for the design-build project with Washington Gas Energy Systems acting as the Construction Manager under an area-wide agreement with GSA.
